“ There is no other place where I can enjoy Menaggio as much as in the Cafe Del Pess. The view of the promenade, the lake, and the hustle and bustle of Piazza Garibaldi is wonderful. The food is surprisingly good (... for a cafe), the Aperol Spritz is tasty, and the prices are moderate for this location. If you're lucky, you'll meet Piero, the soul of the cafe, whose warm manner and humor we've enjoyed since our first visit to Menaggio 20 years ago. The service can seem a little cool and distant — what else would you expect with the masses of visitors from all over the world who regularly act like "God" just because they've ordered a cappuccino. And hey, remember, we're still in northernmost Italy! :) But try a smile and a sincere "Gracie," and you'll find that the ice shell melts very quickly. My rating: always worth a visit and a must for every visitor to Menaggio. ”
“ Absolutely wonderful. Food was delicious and well priced - we had a cappuccino, orange juice, croissant and ham and cheese toast for 10 each. The coffee was delicious and the orange juice freshly squeezed- we even saw the fruit being delivered that morning by the local fruit seller. The staff are welcoming and friendly and very helpful, quick to serve us but we never felt rushed so could enjoy the beautiful view of the lake and piazza. A true taste of La dolce vita. ( we went at around 10:30 on a Thursday morning it wasn’t full but picked up, didn’t feel busy though) ”
“ This is super convenient such lovely location. Great service and a great value for money and quality of food. In 3 days had 3 meals different times and drinks every day. Not a bad dish, not a bad drink ”
“ We have been coming here for 6 years on and off, and the service has been fantastic. Delicious cocktails and coffee's. Have only eaten in here once, we had the breakfast combo and that was good. Lovely views over the lake, when it's warm enough to sit outside! ”
“ We stumbled upon Cafe del Pess while walking through Menaggio, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to slow down and soak in the charm of Lake Como. Sitting outside, right on the main square, you get the most gorgeous view — colorful buildings behind you, the lake in front of you, and mountains in the distance. It honestly feels like you’re inside a painting . The coffee was smooth and rich, the pastries were fresh and delicious (especially the jam-filled cookies and the slice of cake we tried), and the vibe was so relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you could sit for an hour without realizing it — just watching the quiet rhythm of the town and the glimmer of the lake. The service was friendly, and although it’s in a prime location, it didn’t feel overly touristy or rushed. If you’re in Menaggio, I definitely recommend stopping here — whether for breakfast, a sweet treat, or just to enjoy la dolce vita with a cappuccino in hand. ”
